Instruction

Jason offers several levels of martial arts instruction to private groups and individuals. These include the art of self-defense, the creative process of form interpretation and consulting regarding self-defense curriculum development. He incorporates a healthy approach to the martial arts with the client’s longevity in mind.

Class Themes

Self Defense - Internal and external martial arts principals coupled with reverse acupressure, wave-motion and awareness for the present moment, all culminating in an art where the mind and heart play as much of a role as the fist. Powerful one-step motions to maintain control of violent situations with the tools of calmness, commitment, fear and pain.

Awareness of finite alignments in the body - The chi you want is already within you. Like taking the kinks out of a water hose to let the water flow, you will take the kinks out of your body to let the energy flow

Efficiency and effectiveness of motion - Repetitive stress injuries can reek havoc on martial artists (grabbing, twisting, striking, kicking...). By gearing all motions of the body to become constant and circular a fighter can keep training into advanced age with no joint damage.

Players to the Game - Principles, concepts and theories of Traditional Chinese Medicine applied to combat. Yin and Yang, The Five Elements, Diurnal Cycle, Point Categories and Meridea of all types.

Principals of Internal Motion - Pulsing of the joints and cavities. Wrapping of the soft tissues. Dissolving energetic blockages. Spiraling Movement. Circular Motion.

Being the Energies of the Universe - Taking on the characteristics of the basic elements and energies and using that energy in a martial application.
